Srinagar, Nov 05 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club on Tuesday condemned the recent attacks in Kashmir stating that it was committed to help government in restoring peace in Valley.
Addressing the presser here, chairman Jammu Kashmir Hoteliers club Mushtaq Chaya, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) who was accompanied by several other business leaders associated with tourism industry said that the incidents for the past few weeks have left many people dead and several others wounded is condemnable.
"It is unfortunate that such activities are going on and this is unacceptable," he said.
Chahya said that few days ago, an accident near the Tourist Reception Center (TRC) left several children injured, stating that the such incidents, along with a series of recent tragedies has affected locals, tourists, and security personnel, leaving everyone distressed.
"We have seen problems for decades and worked tirelessly for peace, we cannot accept these attacks on our people and our peace," he said.
Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, a business leader while condemning the recent attacks said that everyone was in grief, urging government to investigate and address the root causes of such incidents.
"We appeal to the government and security agencies for comprehensive action. We are committed to supporting all efforts that restore and protect peace," he said.
A tourism stakeholder also acknowledged that there were few cancellations, stating that was a knee jerk reaction due to recent attacks—(KNO)
